Learn More About Dr. Brookstone

Dr. Mitchell S. Brookstone has dedicated his life to helping people achieve excellent dental health. Upon graduating from NYU’s College of Dentistry, he trained as an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City and served as Chief Resident in his final year there. As a specialist in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Brookstone has had to master many different medical disciplines, and this journey has taken him through several practices and hospitals, including a stint in China where he performed cleft lip and palate service.

A Commitment to Education

Dr. Brookstone believes strongly in education—his own and others’. That’s why he’s continued to pursue his own education in dozens of post-graduate study groups and Grand rounds at various hospitals and universities. He’s held fellowship positions at Columbia University and is currently a member of the Attending Staff at the Nassau University Medical Center’s Dept. of Dentistry/Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Professionally, Dr. Brookstone opened his own practice, Brookstone Mitchell S DDS, in 2002 after spending eight years working as an associate or partner in other practices. He’s a member of the Attending Staff of both Nassau University Medical Center and New Island Hospital (their respective departments of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery).
